Karlene Hendershot grew up in Gonzales, Texas and moved to Bryan/College Station to attend Texas A&M University. She came to know Christ while on a mission trip to Mexico in junior high school. She witnessed the need for love and acceptance in the children she was working with. It was during the VBS she was leading that she experienced Jesus' true love for her.

She loves that Christ Church is a place where our church family takes the time to know everyone's names. This attention to detail creates a feeling of acceptance and hospitality. She has been able to see members bless each other, our community and our school students' numerous times. She is passionate about her family and she loves to cook, garden and spend time with her children.

Fun Fact: She is a member of the organization DRT, Daughters of the Republic of Texas.
