+ Serve our city

AT CHRIST CHURCH, WE BELIEVE THAT WE’RE ALL “ON MISSION,” ALL THE TIME. EACH DAILY INTERACTION IS A MISSION OPPORTUNITY.

CHURCH has left the building

Meeting needs in the community and sharing the love of Jesus Christ are intricately woven together in CHLB. Instead of just telling our community to come to our church, CHLB is an intentional outreach focus to take the church and her message to the people through acts of service and love.

Kidz Christmas

In early December, we will shop with over 200 KIDZ at the Bryan and College Station Target stores. After shopping, Christ Church will provide a pancake breakfast back on our campus!

God sized project

Each year, Christ Church will conduct one “God-Size Project” in our community. Projects may include a Habitat for Humanity Build, a home renovation, a new youth area, community garden, etc.

CHURCH IN ACTION

family promise

Christ Church is one of the churches in Bryan/College Station area assisting Family Promise, an area-wide, volunteer-based, non-profit that supports homeless families. This safe environment enables families to get back onto their feet and become self-sufficient. It takes 50-75 volunteers to make the week go smoothly.

BACHMANN MEMORIAL FUND

The mission of Bachmann Community Projects is to provide help in various forms to those in need within our community. Christ Church has allocated funds to provide help to those needing wheelchair ramps, minor home repairs or other immediate needs affecting daily life.

NEIGHBORHOOD KIDZ CLUB

Through after-school mentoring programs, children’s Bible study and Christian interaction, members of Christ Church will be able to volunteer their time to mentor these children.

Small team projects

project hope

Every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month, this project brings together the Brazos Valley Food Bank, Christ Church Members and residents of a local mobile home part to help with basic needs. The Brazos Valley Food Bank, working in conjunction with Christ Church, provide food to low-income mobile home park residents in College Station.

crestview retirement community

Crestview is a non-profit corporation with a membership of approximately 125 volunteers who have been dedicated to enhancing the lives of the residents of the Crestview Methodist Retirement Community since 1964. Christ Church volunteers help with sing-alongs for the residents, sponsor and participate in Bingo, monthly birthday parties, develop relationships or donate funding to provide care for long-time residents who have outlived their resources.

Art from the heart

The Art from the Heart Ministry Group is composed of both professional and amateur artists who come together once a week (Thursdays from 1:00-3:00 pm) to use their art to the glory of God.

Meals on wheels

Several Christ Church Members have currently adopted a “route” for Meals on Wheels. Meals on Wheels volunteers, usually working in pairs, are provided a regular, weekly “route” for delivering meals.

Mobility worldwide

Mobility Worldwide (formerly known as Personal Energy Transportation “PET”) seeks to reflect the love of Jesus Christ by bringing the “gift of mobility and dignity” to those in developing countries who are unable to walk.
