A Letter from the Business Planning Committee
For 30 years, our church has been a cornerstone of worship, fellowship, and community for the Brazos Valley. Within these walls, countless prayers have risen, lives have been transformed, and enduring friendships have been forged.
However, as our ministry expands and the needs of our congregation and community evolve, it has become evident that our campus needs our attention. We ask that you invest in the technology needed to meet the growing needs of our in-person and online worship experiences (primarily in the Sanctuary, but also to meet new technology needs in The Hall) and to create new space on our campus that establishes Christ Church as a destination for hope: where spiritual growth, practical support, and compassionate outreach meet.
Please join us in financially supporting these projects and give generously during Christ Church’s One Month One Mission campaign.
Onward with hope,
Zach Etheridge, Ken Goodman, Jerald Huggins, Katherine Kleemann, Bernie Lynch, Brad Robinson

Our worship spaces are the heart of our worship, fellowship, and community outreach. Every sermon, song, and prayer is an opportunity to connect hearts and minds to God’s message. To ensure that every person – whether seated in the front pew, in the choir loft, or joining us online – can fully engage, we must have modern, reliable audio-visual (AV) technology.
Christ Church is a destination for hope, where the Gospel and the love of God are shared through His Word, fellowship, and making disciples who make disciples. The Hope Center will serve as the hub of our church’s outreach efforts.
The Need
Maintaining Our Home
After nearly 20 years of use, our AV equipment in the sanctuary has inconsistent sound quality, limited projection clarity, and insufficient streaming and recording capabilities. These constraints hinder the worship experience, especially for those with hearing or vision challenges, and reduce our ability to reach people beyond our campus. The technology updates planned (primarily in the sanctuary, but also to meet new technology needs in The Hall) will support every worship style (traditional, blended, and contemporary) and a consistent, high-quality experience for those worshiping in our sanctuary, The Hall or online. With a current estimate of $450,000, the cost for updating our aging AV equipment is not in the church’s operating budget.
Building the Hope Center
Our community, and those we serve beyond our borders, are facing real challenges:
children and adults are navigating grief, loss, hardship, and distress, and many of those we serve do not know Jesus as their savior.
Through Christ Church’s ministries, we provide spiritual, emotional, and physical support to help people find Jesus as they navigate the messy parts of life.
With a current estimate of $1 million, the cost for building the Hope Center is not within the church’s operating budget.
The Vision

By upgrading to a state-of-the-art AV system, we will:
- Deliver clear, balanced sound so every word and note is heard with precision.
- Enhance visual presentation of lyrics, scripture, or graphics with LED screens.
- Expand outreach through high-quality live streaming and recording for homebound members and online visitors.

The Hope Center will be a beacon of light in our community – a place where spiritual growth, practical support, and compassionate outreach meet.
This versatile facility will enhance our missions and ministries by providing the specialized equipment, furnishings, and privacy they require. We believe every person should experience God’s love in both word and action, and the new Hope Center will help us do our part.
The Hope Center will be home to Hope Ministries, Hope for the World Missions, and operations support, including:
The Impact
This investment will transform our worship services, ministry events, and community programs.
It will allow us to:
- share the Gospel more effectively
- foster deeper engagement
- create a welcoming experience for all generations
Opening the new Hope Center will accommodate growth and support our church’s commitment to effectively serving our community and congregation. It will relieve the strain on our Bible study and Sunday School groups, who share space with these ministries, and expand our ability to support ministry programs and missions' efforts.

How You Can Help
Please prayerfully consider making a transformative financial gift to enable our sanctuary to be a place where God’s Word is clearly heard and seen by all AND to create the Hope Center, a vibrant hub where faith is strengthened, hope is renewed, and God’s love is evident daily. A gift to this campaign will also enable our sanctuary to be a place where God’s Word is clearly heard and seen by all. Together, we can ensure His message touches every heart, both within our community and far beyond.
Together, we can ensure His message reaches every heart, both on our campus and beyond.
