God is Growing Us!
God is growing our church family! Our 9:30 service is overflowing, especially in kids’ spaces. Adjusting our schedule allows us to better balance attendance and create room for new families. This is a healthy sign of growth — and a great problem to have. By shifting times slightly for our Contemporary and Blended services, we can reach more people and serve more effectively.
We're excited to see all that God will do!
FAQs
When will the new schedule start?
We will launch with one service on January 4, 2026 at 10:45AM. The new times for the Contemporary and Blended services will start on January 11, 2026.
Will my adult small group or class time change too?
9:30AM adult classes will adjust to 9:15AM to align with the new schedule. Ministry leaders are working with each group to confirm details, and we’ll communicate any changes well in advance.
How long will services be?
Services will be approximately 1.25 hours. The new schedule simply allows for better transitions (30 minute transition time between services).
Why are the kids’ spaces such an issue?
The 9:30 service has become the “prime time” for families, which is wonderful — but it’s created crowding in kids’ areas. We want to maintain safe, welcoming environments for every child while also giving parents options.
Will there be Kids’ Sunday School at all services?
Yes. Kids' Sunday School will now be offered during both of the later service times for Elementary and Preschool. Here is the breakdown:
8:00 – Nursery open (Babies–Pre-K; no lesson but welcome to attend)
9:00 – Nursery + Sunday School for Preschool, Elementary, and 5th–6th
10:45 – Nursery + Sunday School for Preschool and Elementary (no 5th–6th)
When will Students Sunday School (7th -12th Grade) be?
Student ministry will offer Sunday School at the 9AM service time and encourages students to worship during the 10:45AM services.
What do I need to do?
We’re asking everyone to prayerfully consider which service they attend, knowing that your flexibility helps create space for new people to encounter Jesus. Every seat you open is an act of hospitality and mission.
How can I help make this transition successful?
- Pray for God to continue growing our church.
- Invite others to come with you to the new service times.
- Be warm and welcoming — especially in the first few weeks of January!
- Volunteer if you can — we’ll need extra greeters and kids’ ministry volunteers and student ministry volunteers to help serve as we continue to grow. This is a great way to get involved and aid in the service time transition. Click the yellow button below to start serving!

KIDS PROGRAMMING
A note from our Christ Kids Director, Heather Normand
You may have heard that our service times are changing in January. We want to share what this means for Nursery and Kids Sunday School and give you clarity on why we’re making this shift.
Why are service times changing?
Because God is growing our church! Our 9:30 service is regularly over 80% capacity. During the middle hour (9:30) right now, the Elementary and some of the preschool rooms are very crowded and some Sundays at complete capacity
By adjusting service times to 9:00 and 10:45, we hope more families will consider the 10:45 service and ease crowding in the Hall, the parking lot and the kids classrooms. Both 9:00 and 10:45 will now offer a full, consistent Sunday School experience.
What will the new structure look like?
Starting January 11:
- 8:00 – Nursery open (Babies–Pre-K; no lesson but welcome to attend)
- 9:00 – Nursery + Sunday School for Preschool, Elementary, and 5th–6th
- 10:45 – Nursery + Sunday School for Preschool and Elementary (no 5th–6th)
5th–6th Grade:
Their 9:00 class will mirror the current 9:30 experience, just at a new time. These students learn more with their peers and we are trying to build community with that entire group as they will soon transition to Student Ministry in 7th grade. We still have room to grow in District 56, so do not want to divide that community right now!
Preschool & Elementary:
Both hours include large group worship and class time. The same scripture and message will be taught at each hour, though activities will vary for kids who attend both. Families can choose whichever hour works best, knowing their kids will receive a full Sunday School experience.
Please reach out to our kids ministry team with any questions. We are praying this shift helps even more kids grow in faith and experience God’s love.
Would you prayerfully consider two things?
- Attending the 10:45 service/Sunday School to help build community and make more room at 9:00 for visitors. This choice, if it works for your family, is both community building and mission oriented!
- Joining our Sunday School leader team. We need more volunteers at both 9:00 and 10:45 starting in January. Come alongside other parents and church members to share the love of God and the good news of Jesus to all of the amazing kids here at Christ Church! No prep needed—just a willing heart! It's easy to lead lessons and supplies are provided for you.
What a blessing to be part of a growing, thriving church family. God is so good! We pray this growth leads to families and kids growing deeper into relationship with Jesus!
